Gabriela Jaramillo, BSN, RN
Gabriela is an amazing nurse who embodies everything that Presbyterian stands for. She is always the first person to jump up and give a helping hand. She is very calm under stress and pressure. She never hesitates to offer a kind word or reassurance to both patients or colleagues. She is amazing.
One morning, about a week after I had a procedure at Rust, I woke up in a puddle of blood. I was shaking, in pain, and very scared. Gabriela was my ER triage nurse. Immediately after taking my blood pressure, she assured me that I was going to be ok. Her calming presence was just what I needed. She then took me to my ER room and proceeded to keep reassuring me that I would be fine and well taken care of. As someone who is a medical professional and suffers from panic attacks, I cannot express how much Gabriela helped calm me down. I truly believe that she is an angel on this earth and that we are beyond blessed to have her on our Presbyterian Española Hospital team. She truly is an Extraordinary Nurse.
