Finding out that your wife, who is 25 weeks pregnant, needs to be hospitalized is never fun news. What was worrisome was that surgery was a strong possibility, according to the first surgeon we spoke to the night we came in. Seeing your loved one uncomfortable, not able to eat, and worried is stressful. Luckily, we had Gabby as our nurse for two of those stressful days. Everyone on the care team was great, but it felt that Gabby went out of her way to comfort and reassure us. My wife wasn’t able to eat or drink for two days but as soon as we found out that she could have some ice chips and liquids Gabby was already there with Jell-O/juice/ice without us even asking. She was a very empathetic nurse who always anticipated our needs. Thank you!
