Gabby displayed leadership and superb nursing skills during a patient's emergency. Dr. K wrote a compelling letter describing a patient who had experienced a death with her first pregnancy. Pregnant for a second time, Dr. K's patient had a medical condition that could have resulted in another terrible outcome. Gabby identified and responded to the emergency, "protecting A's life by protecting his cord" until he was safely delivered. Dr. K wrote, "Gabby is a wonderful nurse and thanks to her, the patient was handed a healthy son one year and 8 days after losing her daughter. Thank you, Gabby. You are a true DAISY Nurse!"
