In mid-August, Gabrielle took care of a young female patient with a rare infection. The patient was very nervous about being in the hospital and was afraid of getting sicker. Gabrielle spent extra time sitting down with the patient, listening to her concerns and helping her feel more comfortable. The patient was very close with her family and loved talking about her son. The family would come by each day and would talk to Gabrielle about their lives. Gabrielle found out that the patient's son loved Pokemon so she brought in some Pokemon stickers for him the next day. The patient was so happy that Gabrielle thought of her as family and said this has been the best and most compassionate care she has ever received. Gabrielle always puts in extra time to get to know her patients and it always makes a huge difference in the care her patients receive.
