Gabby went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and as relaxed as I possibly could be going through one of the scariest times of my life.
As a 26-year-old, being told you’ve had a stroke means you’re life will never be the same. As the doctors ran multiple tests on me over a 3-day period trying to figure out what was actually wrong with me, Gabby was so reassuring and understanding. Naturally, I did not want to be stuck in the ICU on my birthday, so Gabby went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and as relaxed as I possibly could be going through one of the scariest times of my life. I know I was not the easiest patient to deal with; however, that did not matter to Gabby. She made me feel at home during my stay and made sure I had everything that I could’ve possibly needed. She was constantly reassuring me that my neurologists were doing everything within their power to figure out what had happened. Gabby is, without a doubt, a one-of-a-kind person, and I cannot put into words how thankful I am for her dedication and willingness to help anyone, no matter what. I highly recommend that Gabby be awarded the DAISY Award, for she more than deserves the recognition.
