We are forever grateful for her compassion, professionalism, and genuine care.
Regarding the care of my father, who was cared for in his home, primarily by Gail David, RN of Lehigh Valley Hospice. On behalf of my mother, my brothers, and myself, I want to express our deepest gratitude to Gail David, RN. This was our first experience with hospice, and while the journey was difficult, Gail David, RN, provided the support and compassion we didn't know we needed.

From the moment we enrolled in Lehigh Valley Hospice, Gail David, RN, stood out as an exceptional individual. Her professionalism and warmth brought immediate comfort. She took the time to explain everything directly to my dad, without rushing or glossing over things. Her calm demeanor and clear communication helped put our minds at ease from her first visit to her last. She became Dad's "primary" RN, and the bond that developed between the two of them was a blessing beyond measure. Gail played an instrumental role in ensuring we were prepared in every sense. She not only evaluated Dad's needs and helped us manage his medications, but she also seemed to sense what might be ahead. This especially held true during the months that a skin condition my dad had developed had everyone stumped.

While in hospice, my dad suffered from severe skin itching, open skin blistering, and sores. Gail was relentless in pursuing the best treatment and wound care possible and was in constant communication with Hospice providers to provide adequate treatment, wound care, and find and diagnose the cause, which, after months, was finally diagnosed as "bullous pemphigoid." A rare skin condition, which, when finally diagnosed, led to effective treatment and resolution of the condition --- a tremendous relief for my dad. But if Gail hadn't persisted in finding symptom relief, proper wound care treatment, and then a final diagnosis, my dad would have suffered with that condition till his journey's end. My dad looked forward to Gail's visits. Her guidance and encouragement helped equip him for the journey ahead. With clarity and grace, Gail gently explained the dying process and experience to my mother and our family as Dad entered into his final days. We are forever grateful for her compassion, professionalism, and genuine care. The ability to go through this journey in the comfort of his own home was a gift we'll never forget.
