Gail Rounce, RN, BSN

I wish to nominate Gail Rounce. At the beginning of our ski vacation in Vail, I became extremely sick, and Vail Health diagnosed gallstones. Since they don't treat them, I was transferred to Glenwood early morning via ambulance. Arriving around 7 a.m. at Glenwood, Gail immediately greeted my wife and me. For the next few hours, she constantly was in my room checking on me and monitoring my condition. It was a very disturbing time as I had never had gallstones or been that sick (I had not spent a night in the hospital in 40 years.) Throughout the day as I was treated by the doctors, Gail constantly checked on me and made me as comfortable as possible until my procedure late that afternoon. She continually kept us up to date about what was going on and the expectations. The next day, she was again my nurse and continued the same amount of care until I transferred rooms in the afternoon. Having cared for our elderly parents, and spent many hours in hospitals, I can honestly say Gail was one of the best nurses I have ever experienced! Her level of care and patient concern was top notch.
