This year's award recipient is a steady, calm presence here at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis. She is active and present on each and every floor - making sure our patients and staff are well taken care of. Polished, professional, compassionate, trustworthy and team player are just a few of the many wonderful ways she has been described.
Gail is a true asset to our ministry. You set the bar high for yourself and all of those you work with. You set team members up for success, are always willing to take time to teach and mentor, and are a calming presence even on the roughest days.
As you probably know, Gail volunteers to lead projects and processes, pulling leaders and frontline staff in with her so they can learn and grow. She has championed rapid improvement events including triad rounding, patient transporting, cardiac monitoring criteria, CAUTI/CLABSI bundle compliance, workplace violence reduction, safe room set up expectations, ED to IP handoff processes - just to name a few!
She is an effective communicator, a team player, a wonderful mentor, and here because she cares. Gail truly displays our Mission and Values.
