For the past 10 years, I have suffered from a severe, chronic GI condition complicated by a hiatal hernia and Barrett’s esophagus; it is largely unresponsive to medication intervention, and sparing the graphic details, it can be debilitating & can go on for literal weeks without assistance.

I’ve been hospitalized countless times, and I’ve encountered medical staff with a diverse array of personalities and dispositions. Which is why I was surprised to find that I have never been so compelled to recognize a nurse for such outstanding overall care and compassion.

Having been a patient under his care, I have found that Gammi is certainly effective in his duties as a nurse on his floor. But what stands out to me most is the fact that both times that I was admitted, his personality, disposition, and overall compassion for me as a “whole person” made me feel like the world wasn’t ending anymore. Never have I had a nurse who can walk into the room and, in the middle of a severely unpleasant episode of illness, actually make me smile and laugh and forget for a while just how bad I feel while also doing their job to a degree that outshines most of the pack.

Thank you, Gammi, for being such a positive influence in your patients’ lives!

Thank you, Gamaliel, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
