You know you will have a good day when you see Ganelle working on your unit. She always arrives on the unit, ready to work, with a smile on her face. She generously takes any assignment. She is proactive on the unit, obtaining labs, urines, and rechecking vital signs. She is a team player. Ganelle makes a difference with her 1:1 de-escalation skills. She is always calm, doesn't raise her voice, and reassures the patient that they are safe. Ganelle performs patient assessments and has prevented patient harm and near-miss safety issues. Ganelle is an excellent preceptor. She explains processes, rules, and regulations, ensuring new staff perform to the best of their abilities. Ganelle remains calm and composed regardless of the situation or stress. She goes above and beyond expectations, de-escalates situations, and follows through with constructive reasoning. Ganelle has a soothing demeanor and is fun to work with to create rapport with the patients. Ganelle listens intently to a patient's story, validates their feelings, and creates space for them to be heard.
