I want to take my time to recognize Garry! When I got admitted I knew I was very sick with my disability of not being able to walk with a C-4, C-5 breaks. I have autonomic hypertension which comes with severe problems.
I was in bad shape and I knew that I had a good chance of having a bad UTI and that I may possibly be admitted on inpatient status. As sick as I was, I was terrified about not having my home meds gab, pantoprazole, etc. because I couldn't afford the meds with me being on outpatient status. Every nerve in my body felt like they were stripped. It was horrifying! Then, Garry, an angel on ODU explained the new rules about meds that he said came out this year!
I was so happy but still scared of what was going on in my body. Garry made me laugh with stories that took my mind off the pain for a little while. He was there for me through all of it!
Then the next day he came into my room to tell me I was going on inpatient with the C3 right there explaining everything to me. I don't know how I would have made it through that 2 days but I'm so very thankful that Garry was there and was there every step with me!
Thank you, Garry! You are a blessing that makes that name of the hospital a place that I know I will get taken care of no matter what.
