The ER was very busy that Friday afternoon. I was in severe pain with a boil on my left leg. A good doctor was able to lance and drain my wound. After that, I was sitting in a chair that was not able to be adjusted. In between running and assisting many patients, Gavin tried to adjust my chair to help me feel a little more comfortable. This never happened so he now got some pillows for me to help. This did make the situation a little better. Now he found out that I had not received any food and was getting ill with pain and everything else that was going on. Without me asking, Gavin somehow obtained a sandwich for me to help me through. He also managed to show the same concern for several other patients while still doing a caring job for all those in his unit. I am not sure if I could have gotten through that night until I was finally admitted without Gavin and his concern for others. God Bless him and those who give of themselves to help others.
