When Gayle first started with Hospice, she was a facility nurse and a very happy one. As Covid hit and diminished our census our team took on home patients. Gayle expressed concern about taking on home patients because they are more time-consuming, she will become too attached, and what if something would come up, she would not know? As many of you know, Gayle wants to be armed with the correct information and be prepared to take on the task that awaits. So, with all that being said, Gayle is providing stellar care to her home and facility patients without any difficulty. She is now managing a 17-person caseload, assisting with admissions, assisting with Extended Hours visits and she is the only Care Manager that has received the Premium Bonus. Gayle is also working some time on the LMH IPU. Gayle has displayed a positive attitude throughout all the changes, and she is even willing to assist her colleagues with learning how to do admissions in the facilities. I appreciate Gayle’s leadership and her outstanding outreach to the other departments in our organization.
