I have known Gayle for many years and would like to recognize her. Being a retired nurse myself, I look for all the values I tried to have in my years of practice. Gayle surpasses everything I tried to be and more. Nine years ago, Gayle was the only one who could start my IV during my Remicade treatments. Many nurses had tried to start them but she got them the first time, every time. I was (and still am) receiving the treatments every six weeks. I began to schedule my visits to when she was working. She then suggested to me possibly getting a port to make things less painful for me. My doctor agreed and it has worked beautifully. Her caring and loving manner are extraordinary towards all of her patients, not just me. She has also come to see me during some of my hospitalizations. Anything I would want or need during my visits, she would make sure that I had it. Her hugs are terrific! I look forward to seeing her beautiful face at each visit. Her intellect is very influential also. Whenever I have a question, if she doesn't have an answer, she will quickly find it. All of the nurses in the Procedure Center are great and they make me feel comfortable with each visit. But in my opinion, Gayle is a true DAISY Nurse. Aspirus Wausau Hospital has terrific nurses. They are all very caring and compassionate. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else for my healthcare.
