gayle shiba, PhD, APRN, NP-C

Dr. Gayle Shiba is recognized for her excellence in leadership, teaching and collaborative relationships.  Dr. Shiba was the leader who introduced the DAISY Faculty Award to LCON. She planted the seeds for LCON 's DAISY Faculty Award Program.  She demonstrates caring and concern for not only her students but also her fellow faculty members.  She always takes time to listen and offer guidance to foster excellence in teaching. Engagement and involvement of students are important to her.  Students know to come to class prepared and expect to be randomly called upon to answer questions in class.  Dr. Shiba an effective leader and an outstanding educator.
