Our 2-month-old daughter was nearly as frightened as her parents to be admitted and staying in the hospital. We were beyond lucky to be under Gaylene's care for four of our five days. Gaylene has a calming, self-assured presence that my daughter melted into. Gaylene was the only provider to hold our daughter in her arms while taking vitals. It was the only time while awake that vitals did not cause her to cry. Gaylene also encouraged us as parents to take care of ourselves. Our outcome was beautiful, and we will never forget Gaylene. Gaylene epitomizes excellent care. Also, my daughter has always slept with me before our hospital stay. Placing her in the crib was very difficult. Gaylene gently reminded me of other ways in which I could provide comfort and also help my baby sleep. Our daughter now easily and comfortably sleeps in her own crib every night. Children's is lucky to have Gaylene.
