We had our first child at KPSF and were fortunate enough to have Gemma as our nurse for 3 days. Gemma was able to compassionately address all of our fears and concerns during a difficult time for us. It felt like we had a family members in the room with Gemma. She was delightful and positive, diligent, confident, and takes great pride in her work. Gemma provided us with a tremendous amount of relief during a series of challenging sleepless days/nights. She always had a smile, never made you feel bad asking for something, and epitomizes what a nurse should be. We were so fortunate to have her during this time. It is extra meaningful to me since I am also a Kaiser Pediatrician who works in the well baby clinic. As a doctor, you don't appreciate the hard work and empathy needed to make patients feel comfortable and relaxed. This time around, as a patient, with a new baby, I now understand it because of Gemma. Thank you again for everything!
