Gena Allen, House Supervisor, Inpatient Support Services, Children’s at Scottish Rite
Gena Allen works in several capacities at Children’s. As a Floating Preceptor, she seeks out opportunities to assist new hires get better adjusted to their role, providing guidance and advice in a kind and thoughtful manner. Gena also is a strong clinical nurse resource. She’s always available to help and is a great team player. She willingly accepts any task and approaches each situation with a can-do attitude. When she serves as relief House Supervisor, Gena truly shines, prioritizing tasks for her team. Patients always come first, and through her calming demeanor, Gena is able to reassure patients and their families as she delivers exceptional care. “Gena is an all around extraordinary professional nurse and person,” a member of her team shared. “We can all learn a great deal by just watching her work.”
