I am certain there are not enough words to express how I feel about Gene McGowen, and what his presence means to me and this entire hospital. Gene is a beacon of light, a cornerstone, trailblazer, leader, and a pillar of this hospital community. We are all blessed to have him! I speak highly of Gene because I respect him so much; he reminds me a lot of my father. Gene’s actions are genuine and comforting to everyone around him.
From wisdom to emotional support, he has been that for me, my son, and my entire family since day one. I thank God for him. I am fighting back tears at this very moment not having more words to speak about this nurse.
