No one anticipates becoming an amputee, and she listens with empathy and understanding, making me feel truly heard.
Geneva exemplifies the qualities of an exceptional nurse: she is truly patient-centered, deeply passionate, incredibly kind, and exceptionally helpful. Her caring approach and gentle manner not only helped me feel at ease but empowered me to ask questions during this difficult and vulnerable period. No one anticipates becoming an amputee, and she listens with empathy and understanding, making me feel truly heard. Every time she comes to care for me, her warm and uplifting demeanor brightens my day. She not only earned my trust but also helped me believe in myself and my ability to succeed in this new chapter of my life.

Geneva was my nurse on my first day of rehab. She helped me through the dark place I was in with the pain I had, as well as my self-confidence. I was overwhelmed and scared of how I could get my life back again after an amputation. During my stay, Geneva was gentle with my wound care, and she built my confidence over the days and taught me how to take care of the wound. She supported me, listened to me and my concerns, and helped fill a void when my family wasn't able to be there with me. Prior to this hospitalization, I had not gone to the doctor in many years, and the care I received from her and in rehab helped change my mind about the healthcare system. She is a great asset to the rehab center and all the nurses she mentors.
