Genevieve was a student at the Clinic at Mercury Courts (CMC) this past year. As part of this interprofessional team, she was a model student and leader in the clinic. She was an excellent nursing representative who encouraged numerous changes to the way we care for LGBTQ patients at the clinic to ensure sensitivity in our care delivery. Based on her guidance, we revised the language in our patient intake forms to use more inclusive language. Genevieve represented the CMC at Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Strategy Share 19, an annual, event that showcases work that advances strategic directions across the institution through a series of TED-style talks and PowerPitch presentations. Genevieve was the only nurse asked to present at this event. Her presentation was viewed by thousands across social media and highlights the impact of nursing in clinical care delivery.
