Genevieve was nominated by two of her peers outside of nursing within one week's time. She was first nominated by an Environmental Services employee who stopped at the DAISY table and took part of her lunch break to write out the nomination by hand:

"Genevieve is absolutely fantastic! She's always warm and fuzzy, even when the going gets rough. She's always willing to help anyone she can, and it's such an honor to work with her!"

Genevieve was also nominated by a member of our Speech and Swallow Team:

"Genevieve epitomizes the "DAISY Award Nurse". She always puts the patient first and utilizes a team approach. She practices excellence in medical care and is one of the most truly compassionate, caring nurses at Saint Joseph's. She cares for the patient and the staff! I have never seen her get her "feathers ruffled" despite tense patient, family, MD or staff situations. She takes the lead, gets patient care accomplished and with a level of excellent quality!
