I am nominating this nurse for recognition because of her significant impact on direct patient care. Genevieve demonstrates pride in her work and continuously seeks to improve related processes. She is actively working to develop excellence in nursing documentation. She communicates professionally with leadership to create solutions for identified clinical issues. This is her superpower. This strength is best applied to the orientation of new nurses to her department. Genevieve works closely with new hires and educates in the moment. Her method of teaching enables her orientee to apply known information and then develop critical-thinking skills. She works within a structure to have the learner teach back the rationale and validate understanding before completing tasks. Her feedback to her leader is timely and objective. Her priority is to keep patients at the forefront of our work and develop our team to consistently deliver quality outcomes. She does this while making sure there is a safe environment to discuss ideas and learn. Our team is better for her presence and actions.
