Since joining Westcliff University, she has consistently provided essential support to faculty and nursing leadership, often working behind the scenes to ensure programmatic success. Although her contributions are not always highly visible, their impact is significant and far-reaching. She has been previously nicknamed a “ninja,” a descriptor that aptly reflects her ability to lead with precision, discretion, and effectiveness.

Genie demonstrates leadership through action rather than recognition. She applies her clinical knowledge and professional expertise to support faculty, guide leadership initiatives, and promote student success. Her ability to anticipate needs, address challenges proactively, and maintain composure in complex situations makes her an indispensable member of Westcliff University.

Over the years, we have had the privilege of working under her leadership, alongside her, and in a reporting capacity. During this time, we have come to appreciate not only her professionalism and dedication, but also her understated sense of humor—subtle, well-timed, and reflective of her thoughtful approach to leadership. This quality contributes positively to team cohesion and morale.
