As the Nurse Manager of the unit, I have had numerous patients and their families express the outstanding care that Geniece has provided to our patients. Geniece exemplifies I-CARE principles by going above and beyond for patients and advocating for their patients to receive the resources that they need.

An example of this is from a patient's family explaining how Geniece had gone to great lengths to get in touch with the hospice coordinator for a patient on our unit who unfortunately could not make their needs known due to their condition, as the family could not make their decisions for him this was a particularly difficult situation. As per the family member, Geniece went out of her way to call on multiple occasions even though the family felt that she had already done enough. Throughout all of this, Geniece provided excellent care and maintained the dignity of this patient. The family was very happy with the care that her brother had been receiving and expressed that she should be recognized for being exemplary.
