A homeless patient was being discharged. Although Gentina was not the patient's assigned nurse, she took it upon herself to walk over to Walgreens and purchase several items for the patient. Items included: toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, mouthwash, and other toiletries. Gentina also bought the patient several sandwiches and drinks. Gentina's caring and generous gesture is inspiring and demonstrates her compassion for the patients on the unit. I am very lucky and proud to have her on the team!
