I've had the pleasure of having him take care of me for a few days now. I feel he's gone above and beyond the parameter of his job as my nurse. For example, I've been extremely stressed about getting a lumbar puncture to find out what type of bacteria I have in my spine. I have had this particular procedure done 3 previous times and each time it has been slightly traumatic and extremely painful. So Nurse George took the time to listen to me vent my stress and he gave me positive feedback which ultimately led to me going ahead with the procedure and went as far as suggesting an anxiety med as long as I was okay with him asking my doctor. The medicine the doc gave me turned out to be very helpful in me getting through the procedure. This nurse is extremely professional in a friendly way. He checks on me often throughout the day to see if I need anything and I know he's extremely busy so he's going out of his way to make sure I'm taken care of. Sometimes people just need an ear that will listen to them. I have often come to enjoy my stay here while he's here because I feel he is a genuine person who cares for people. I won't ramble on but I think he should be recognized for the extra stuff he does not only for me but I'm sure all his patients. Thank you, Nurse George, for being not only a nurse but a friend.
