When George hears a patient in crisis, he immediately jumps up and runs to find them to see how he can help.
George is like the favorite uncle in the family. There’s not an employee or patient at FBH who doesn’t love this nurse. His energy and smile are infectious, and he is the definition of a great team player. His positivity and calming spirit help make handling even the most challenging patients seem like a breeze and de-escalating crises that anyone would have thought were undoubtedly going to end up in a restraint. All the while never taking credit where it’s due.

George has demonstrated care and patience while faced with stressful and uncomfortable situations. Always ready to help. Springs into action sooner and more effectively than most. When George hears a patient in crisis, he immediately jumps up and runs to find them to see how he can help. He always puts the patients and coworkers before himself, and he is always the first person to give help when needed. He goes out of the way to build a strong rapport with acute patients, always makes sure to listen to the patients first, and tries to go above and beyond to meet their needs.

George is always in motion and never stays in the nursing station. He is not only involved in direct patient care, but he’s on several committees at Foundations to help improve the facility and morale. George is admired by all (patients and staff). George teaches us that laughter and playfulness can be better than any medication. George truly is one of a kind.
