I am honored to nominate Georgia Bent for recognition due to her exceptional dedication, compassion, and professionalism in the nursing field. As a colleague, I have witnessed firsthand the extraordinary care she provides. She continuously goes above and beyond to ensure comfort, dignity, and healing for every individual she encounters.

One moment that truly stands out was during a particularly long shift on the surgical unit. A patient who had recently undergone a difficult procedure was feeling low, anxious, and uncomfortable. Without missing a beat, Georgia walked into the room and said, "I’m here for your daily dose of fun." The patient instantly got a smile on their face. For the next 10 minutes, the room echoed with lighthearted laughter and belly laughs. It was a simple moment, but one that completely shifted the energy, not just for the patient, but for the whole unit as well. That’s the power of joy in healing, and Georgia brings it effortlessly. Beyond the gift of humor, Georgia consistently provides compassionate, high-quality care. In a profession that requires resilience and heart, Georgia stands out as someone who brings both, along with a much-needed sense of humor.
