January 2024 Honoree
Georgianna Fox, RN
We want to give a big shout-out and thank you to our nurse, Georgianna Fox, from labor & delivery. To begin, she was graciously working on her day off after being called in due to a busy day in the delivery ward. From the moment she stepped in she kept us informed and ensured that every need was met. She monitored our baby girl very closely and did not hesitate to act when the baby’s heart rate altered or when we requested a check in. She repositioned me frequently, kept our doctor informed, and was always timely with keeping the Pitocin dosed correctly.
When our baby girl decided that it was time to go into labor, Georgie quickly got the room and supplies setup and got the doctor in the room. If she had not acted as quickly as she did, we could have been left in a dangerous situation, as the baby came out with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck twice. After delivery Georgie continued to check on us and the baby regularly and ensured a smooth transition to the recovery ward.
Georgie undoubtedly was the cornerstone in ensuring a safe and successful delivery.

Thank you, Georgianna, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
