December 2021 Honoree
Georgina Clingain, RN
I had a complete right knee replacement in November. That night I was having problems emptying my bladder and I finally requested a catheter. The thought of someone other than my wife touching intimate parts of my body was completely foreign to this 71-year-old man. Plus, thinking about what was to be done added to my discomfort. I could not relax and the insertion became an adventure.
Nurse Georgie took charge and was not afraid to ask for help when needed. She was very professional in successfully completing the task at hand. While cleaning up all the discards from the extended insertion she was very direct and professional in explaining the commonality of what had just transpired putting me completely at ease and removing any guilty that I might have had. If I ever had to request a nurse it would be Nurse Georgie.

Thank you, Georgina, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
