Gerald was my husband’s nurse during the day and accommodated both my husband and me as if it were the best thing in the world for him to do. I feel like everything he had to do to care for my husband was something he wanted to do and was happy to do. And he was good at it. I didn’t have to ask for anything. Gerald was proactive, like he knew what we needed before we even knew we needed it. We had great conversations, and he took pride in his work, which is a lot of work and requires a lot of skill to know what to do and get it right. He made us laugh at a time when there was really nothing to laugh about. He’s just a genuinely good person with an aura that makes you feel comfortable in his presence.
