Gerlyn’s professionalism and empathy made a tremendous difference for my mom and me during our stay. She stands out in how she talks with my mom because she calms her respectfully and with such care. Gerlyn consistently noticed what mom needed and ensured that she had everything. The bath and massage with lotion that she gave my mom was completely LEGENDARY! First, it was so dear how my mom waited for Gerlyn to bathe her because she knew Gerlyn would take the best care of her. She waiting with anticipation to see Gerlyn each day and asked multiple times “when will I get to see my friend?” That says it all. Gerlyn’s respectful nature made my mom feel connected and cared for with kindness. I cannot express our gratitude for how Gerlyn’s compassion impacted us daily. She would bring us water after noticing mom was out. That attention to detail and her quickness in action stood out. Also, when mom had panic attacks, Gerlyn not only calmed her to the fullest, but she took the time to explain to me so now I have a newfound understanding of how to help my mom. Gerlyn’s lessons, both spoken and through actions, have improved my mom and my relationship for life.
