Gert demonstrates her clinical skills by making sure each patient on the table is well taken care of by using her critical thinking skills of nursing. No patient is left behind. She makes sure she triages the patients correctly and does them in order according to their level of care. Gert demonstrates dedication by working from home on call. She often calls the floors to check up on patients and their recovery post-procedure care is truly taken into consideration. She calls physicians on her day off to make sure patient exams are done for that week and outpatients are properly taken care of.
Gertrudes goes above and beyond her job by working endless hours off the clock to provide outstanding patient care. I am only a technologist, but I look up to her as a healthcare provider in this department. The small things she does in our department do not go unnoticed. We all appreciate her scope of care for us and our patients. Gert is a role model for her fellow nurses as well. She shows them tricks and physician preference items every day to make them better nurses. Nurses have greatly improved under her supervision and guidance.
