I thought my water broke, and I started having contractions, so we headed to Elmhurst Hospital. My main OB was on PTO for the week, and one of my biggest fears in life was giving birth. Gianna greeted us in triage and was so beyond patient and kind. I was so nervous about the IV placement. She took her time with another nurse and used an ultrasound machine to carefully place it. I then ended up having preclampsia upon arrival, and I was terrified.

Gianna stayed with me the entire day because I was terrified to be left alone in case something were to happen. She changed my life, and I will be forever grateful. The kindness and compassion she showed to my husband, me, and our baby boy while getting him here safely, we will never forget. Gianna didn't just do her job; she went above and beyond to make our day as special as possible. She came on her day off the next day to check on me!

I cry every time I think about her kindness in such a vulnerable moment. I will now only deliver at Elmhurst Hospital, from the positive experience we had, minus my unforeseen health problems, she gave us the best experience. The calmness through each step of the day, from pre-labor, labor, and mother-baby. Incredible. We cannot say enough amazing things about Gianna. She truly is one of a kind.
