As a cancer patient, I go through many highs and lows both physically and mentally. On this specific night, I had just been told that metastasis had occurred and a feeling of overall hopelessness began to overwhelm me. Unable to contact any of my family members I became very upset. It was Gia that would be my rock in this time of need. Her compassion and tenderness got me through this most devastating moment in my life. Gia could not have been more kind-hearted and positive when I was at my lowest. It has been her words of encouragement that have gotten me past the last few months.
