The first night Gifty was my nurse, she spent a lot of time with me trying to keep me calm and positive that my new meds would work and I was not going to have another seizure as they weaned me off one of my meds. The next night, she still knew I was anxious and saw on the video monitor that my mom was trying to calm me from a panic attack and she came into my room to help comfort me and spent a lot of time with me at 3 am! The next night, she was not my nurse and she came into my room just to see how I was doing. She even said she'd come back to check on me later! My only regret was I did not get to hug her goodbye. When Gifty is honored, I look forward to bringing her a big bag of Peanut M & M's because I know those are her favorite candy!
