Gina's passion for helping Veterans such as myself shows whenever she is my nurse. She knows empathy whenever she is my nurse. She understands my needs and my situation. When I was new to CLC, I did not want to go into the shower room. My concern was that I did not want to go where other people go because of the germs and I did not want to catch anything. She provided me with options, and I was able to have my bath in bed. She made me feel comfortable and I felt like I could trust her after that. I felt clean and fresh. I am very impressed with her love for her patients. She is very attentive to details and she remembers my preferences. She is very attentive to my needs. She is a good person. She is selfless. She does not rush. She shows interest in me as a person and treats me with respect and dignity. She is very personable. She is also my exercise nurse. I know I should do exercises but there are times when I don’t feel good or am not ready. She ensures that I will be safe and puts my safety first. She goes back when I am ready, and spends time with me, well-paced, and not rushed. She is very kind and her smile is infectious. She is more than deserving of this award. Thank you!
