Gina was an amazing nurse to my mom, A. After recently being extubated from covid complications, my mom's hair was tangled and matted from laying in the bed for a couple of weeks. Gina was my mom’s nurse when my mom started gaining some more strength back. Gina noticed mom’s hair and offered to wash and detangle it. WOW! It made such a huge difference. Gina was patient and kind as she took the extra time to brush through the layers, and my mom felt like a new woman afterward! We all noticed the happy pep mom felt after having someone go the extra mile for her in that way. Thank you to Gina and ALL the amazing staff who take extra care of their ICU/PCU patients during this time. Our family knows it hasn’t been easy to be in this field, so those moments of humanity are extra special.
