Gina Jardine, BSN

Nurse Gina Jardine truly represents the Gold Standard in Nursing. Not only does she provide superior Nursing care, but Nurse Gina also made the effort to get to know me as a person and to make me comfortable beyond medical care. Realizing my desire for independence though I am bed bound, Nurse Gina tirelessly re-arranged equipment, room furnishings and items I was using. Her creativity came into play as she noticed my frustration that time the bed remote kept falling to the floor and out of my reach. Using two rubber bands, she anchored the remote to the bed rail, alleviating my need to stay in one position in bed until someone could retrieve the remote. This made me happier, but also healthier, as I could reposition at will. One particularly significant way Gina enriched my TGH stay was at discharge. After a night of unstable blood pressure and low MAP, I was insecure about being discharged without a Cardiology visit. Nurse Gina spent time and energy calling the Doctor and writing out answers. She covered each of my questions, making me secure that I could manage my health at home. Thank you, Nurse Gina.
