One evening Gina and I were working in triage and there was a family who presented to the ED waiting area with no complaints, other than to get warm. The family consisted of a mother, a father, a 13-month-old, and a 2-month-old. Gina took the time to find out that they were homeless, and then proceeded to do the work to find them a shelter to go to together. After a few hours, Gina succeeded in finding this family a place to go. This is just one example of the care and compassion I see in her every time she works. She has amazing compassion for those she encounters.
