Gina Lopez 2025, RN

My 57-year-old brother with Down syndrome was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. He went straight from the ER to the ICU. I don't remember if she was the second or third nurse I met. It's all a blur. However, Gina was warm and welcoming to me and very gentle and compassionate with my brother. My poor brother also had dementia and could no longer communicate.  Many people didn't really know how to treat him, but she did.  She treated him like he was her family.  She really wanted to understand his needs and help. It made my heart happy that she was the nurse on duty when my brother passed. She is a gem and needs to know that she really is making a difference!
