Gina was my rock for the two days I spent at UCLA. I wasn't even her assignment and still, she went above and beyond in making sure I was taken care of. I had a pretty terrible infection and my veins didn't love the catheters and she was sure to check them constantly and was super gentle every time I needed a new one. Whenever I was scared, which was pretty often she spent time sitting with me and talking things out so I could better understand what was going on. She was an advocate for me, and made me feel at home for the entirety of my stay. When I was discharged, she even walked me home during her lunch break, since I had walked from my apartment 2 days earlier to check myself in. Gina cares about her patients and cared about me in a way that I have never seen before. I will never forget how wonderful and compassionate Gina was toward me.
