Gina was my primary nurse after I had surgery for ovarian cancer. I have been a nurse for over 20 years and have never in that time had the privilege of working with such an exemplary nurse. To have been her patient was an absolute blessing! She was so caring and professional. I felt completely safe and at ease in her care. She anticipated my needs as well as those of my family and addressed issues I was having promptly and thoroughly, even at times I knew were inconvenient (such as pain med at shift change). Her nursing skills, critical thinking and efficiency are impressive. Her compassion and empathy emanate from her like soothing perfume. I barely scratch the surface of her attributes. I truly believe she was key in my recovery and return to health. Each time I have thought back over that horrible time in my life I consider all of the blessings I had to help me through it. She ALWAYS is one of the first ones to cross my mind.
