From the very first daythat I arrived on the unit, I was assigned this nurse. She was very serious about making sure I understood my condition and educated on how to cope with dialysis. When I wanted to throw in the towel and give up, Gina would not let me. She was more than a nurse, she became a friend and someone I could trust. My husband was having chest pain and she made sure he got to the Emergency Room. She then continuously checked on me to make sure I was okay. She was a great support to my mother who was also staying in the hospital room with me.

When I wanted to leave AMA, Gina knew what to do and gave me space to think. Her kind words and education helped me change my mind and stay in the hospital.

Gina is a super-nurse and extraordinary in every way. I feel this nurse goes above and beyond her call of duty to bless her patients with her care. She will forever be in my heart.
