Gina Tremaine, RN

My husband is deathly afraid of hospitals. He was in for outpatient surgery, and Gina took time and patience with him. She even got him laughing, which has never happened during any of his numerous hospital visits. This may seem small, but it was monumental to us. I realize that nurses have a lot on their plate and are spread very thin these days, but nurses like Gina stand out amongst the crowd. Gina was ingeniously witty, easily talking my husband, who is a diabetic, into drinking water instead of the Pepsi that he wanted. She got him to get up and move around, even though he was adamant that he couldn't get up from the bed. Bottom line, she treated us as if we were family in every way! We have been here the entire day, and this is the first time in my 71 years that I haven't gone home from the hospital exhausted. I have never filled out a recognition card for anyone, but felt compelled to do so this time. I'm sure that Gina has this effect on everyone that she serves, and believe me, that is priceless.
