Ginger is a nurse who consistently goes above and beyond for her patients, and just as importantly, their families.
Quoting a laboring woman's husband, "I felt helpless when my wife went into labor. There is nothing I can do to help besides supporting my laboring wife. From the second we first came in, Ginger took control and handled my wife with such care and expertise that my worries went away.Ginger, you will never know how much your care for my wife and newborn son means to me."
One family got to experience Ginger's excellent care twice in one year. The first was when the patient had a gall bladder attack at 8 months pregnant. The second was for the birth of their child. "By the time we checked out, we felt like saying goodbye to Ginger was like saying goodbye to a sister," they wrote.
In addition to working a .6FTE in Labor and Delivery, Ginger is a Safety Coach with a capital "S." The script many nurses use before administering medications: "name, date of birth, and allergies" came from Ginger. She is always looking for potential safety issues and coming up with solutions.
Ginger is a nurse whose love for her job shows in her everyday life. "I believe I get paid to share the most memorable days with patients, and it's an honor to be a part of it!" she shares.
Congrats Ginger!
