Gionna was questioning the adult elder abuse policy. Turns out a patient she had was being neglected/poorly cared for by family. Gionna took it upon herself to notify all the appropriate team members to ensure the care and safety of her patient. Gionna stayed after her shift had ended to make sure everything was followed through on. Had these issues not been brought to someone's attention, greater harm, disease, and neglect could have been done to this patient. Gionna is a great nurse and advocate for her patients.
