Giovanna Perez, RN, BSN

I would like to nominate Giovanna Perez for the DAISY Nurse Educator Award. I believe she would be a well-deserved recipient of this prestigious award after experiencing her unwavering support during my 10-day inpatient stay in 7 Tower. Giovanna took the time to round on me during every single one of her shifts, ensuring that I was comfortable, offering pillows, extra blankets, and snacks. She made sure to tell me every time, "I'm here for you. Call and ask me if you need anything; don't be shy." When hours would pass and I didn't have any visitors, she sat with me to chat and make sure that I was kept in the loop about changes to my care plan. She frequently asked me about the care I was receiving from the nurses and PCTs, ensuring that it was up to par with Mount Sinai's high standards. She made me feel safe, cared for, and thankful to be in a true place of healing. Thank you, Giovanna!
