Girshiah Elgirsh, RN, BSN

Girshiah is a very well-versed nurse. Not only does she give exceptional patient care she also shared knowledge about the benefits that I would gain from having medical procedures. She made things very personable and explained, in detail, any question I had concerning my treatment goals. When distributing medication, she explained what I was taking, why it was prescribed, and what it was for. She spoke of her family and I spoke of mine as if we were two girls sitting down to chat with a cup of tea and a great laugh. Those special few moments allow you to feel just normal and not sick, not stuck in a hospital. It made me feel comfortable, not to mention at that moment, trusting my treatment plan. Girshiah always has a great attitude. She doesn’t complain. I loved having her as my nurse! I would love to see her compassion acknowledged by Beaumont Hospital. This is the kind of patient care that builds a bridge of trust between patients and hospitals.
